  My wife and I had furniture stored with A-1 Fargo for over three years. Last month we had it delivered to our new residence. I thought it was peculiar that a cashiers check for the total value of the move (this had nothing to do with storage fees) was to be handed to the movers before any of the furniture came off the truck. Soon afterwards we found why:
  Half the furniture had been damaged! And there was nothing A-1 Fargo was obliged to do about it since it did not have insurance coverage. So, it was as if a third party had stored it and moved it and A-1 Fargo had nothing to do with the cause of the damage.
  Very expensive mattresses were ripped, hand made furniture was broken apart or scratched, arm rests and cushions on leather chairs and couches were permanently damaged due to heavy objects placed and left on them for years, dents on metal and wood surfaces, etc. . A total disaster!
  "As a courtesy and not an obligation", a third rate refinisher was sent the next day to poorly patch and complete ruining the furniture.
  Stay away from this bunch.
