  I hate dentists! I think they have a perverse enjoyment of torture. So I didn't go to one for 16 years. Then my wife dragged me to Dr Bloch who had been her dentist forever. I now hate all dentists except one! He was human, kind, and would explain what he was doing / looking for, etc. The assistants are good, too. They only yell at me for not flossing :)
  Would highly recommend him (and the office).
